Two months ago I wrote a post about feminism. My point was that “feminism” is a controversial word to use because it has come to be considered a synonym of misandry. This must stop, as it distracts from the ideal of the movement —achieving gender equality, which we should all embrace.

Emma Watson, UN Women’s Goodwill Ambassador conveyed this message quite powerfully during her speech for the United Nation’s "He for She" campaign.

Listen to her, because she has some important things to say. And because sometimes it takes a celebrity to say them for us to listen. Even if they are common sense.
